Where does Nintendo go after the Switch?
« on: October 25, 2017, 06:11:14 PM »
Hi everyone,

There seems t be a pattern with Nintendo: Release a popular console, then follow up with a dud in comparison.  It's a weird cycle that's been happening since the SNES.  The Switch is popular now, but I'm afraid they won't know hot to follow it up and have a Wii U situation again.  What will their next console need to avoid that?  Just Zelda and Mario again?

AFAIK NES/SNES/N64/GameCube/Wii all did pretty well?

WiiU was just a hardware refresh, where they added new tech.
I think they just needed to wait a bit before doing it, and everything would have been a lot better.

Sure most did OK, but nothing compared to Playstation and 360 until the Wii.  How long can they ride the Mario and Zelda train?  Crazy to ask I guess, because they've done it for decades now.

As long as they keep making Zelda, Ičll keep buying no matter what.
